After some bad experiences I had this summer with ants I would suggest to keep an eye on them, they absolutely LOVE both BSF and BSFL and will do anything to catch them on any living stage |

Hello, I want to share with you a very strange fly I found today. It definitely seems like it is from the same family as the BSF. I'd like your feedback on what you think it could be the exact species. The wings look just like BSF. The belly is yellow with 3 black diamond-shaped spots as a "bel... |

Hi, I would ask you, do you plan to just raise the larvae or are you planning to make the breeding? For the first I would say any place is perfect, if it's dark enough and has some in/out "door" for the flies. For the second it would be much more complicate, and as BorealWormer says, you w... |

You can also say when the larvae are comming to their last 2 instars because at those stages they noticably loose ther skin. |

First, I wonder if the fly you saw was a BSF or a similar one whose eggs hatch faster. Second I wonder if there is a possibility that some larvae crawled up looking for a way out and accidentally detached the eggs from their place (don't worry, they are not cannivals). Then I have a tip: you could t... |

Oh maybe I got too late with the contact details, nevermind if it's too complicate. The coordinates on the map are more accurate than what I was expecting
Sure, I am already alert for more BSF, I'll post here if I find any. |

Hi francois, congratulations on all the work you have posted here (I've gone through the whole 9 pages of this post), it all looks so good. I am curious about a few details that caught my attention: - What kind of fish do you raise and how big is the tank where you have them? - I saw you feed the la... |

Hello dear readers. I'd like to introduce myself as an almost accidental BSF raiser. I've been for long time interested in raising my own garden farm. Unsuccessful with the years I've got interest in hidroponia, which developed into a bigger interedt in aquaponia, altough I never actually started a ... |
