I'm curious if this forum has seen this video before (if you haven't, make sure the volume is low since is annoying music). They use what seems to be a very efficient method of collecting eggs and i wanted to know your thoughts about it.

The glass that contained the opposition medium (the wood) seemed to be condensed, so maybe they cool the wood down and the BSF like that?

What are your thoughts?

Totally agree with that. To bad it there weren't meaningful captions

Hard to tell but that could also be a sterilizer.

There's another video from China showing similar egg traps which I agree work very well when harvesting eggs. In that other video coins were used to separate the pieces of wood which be easy to try at home.

Also interesting is how they packaged the eggs. It looked like dish washing 'scrubbing pads' were placed at the top and bottom of the jars?

Ricky thanks for posting that vid. Their YouTube channel (link) has other vids with good specific suggestions as to the best temperature and humidity for hatching eggs and raising the larvae.

Oddly, several of these also have strange choices for background music and those in English also have English subtitles.

After thinking about it, it be a good idea to impregnate the wood with the opposition odor. if you can make the wood smell like fermented corn for example, i guess you wouldn't need the actual corn making of a mess and cleaner process.

That's just my thought on it, they use that cage to humidify the wood with the smell and then they don't need the compost making less problematic the cleanup
