The forum software can be a little confusing for those wanting to include pictures or youtube videos. This topic will provide some basic instructions that will hopefully be helpful.

If you have a youtube video that you would like to show in your post first you'll need information from the URL of the video. Depending on how you get the URL it may look like any of the following

• http://youtu.be/-kjNvE5IOdw
  
• http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kjNvE5IOdw
  
• http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-kjNvE5IOdw&feature=player_embedded

You will need only the video ID (highlighted in yellow in the examples above) and * NOT * the entire URL.

You can find the URL at the top of your browser when viewing the YouTube video page or by using the 'Share' button on the page as shown below.




Once you have the video ID enter it in your post as shown below.




So the text below results in the video showing in this post. Note that center tags were added but are not required.

You can now upload images directly in your forum post by attaching the image files (link). Please do not post huge image files. A good width to aim for is under 1000 pixels.









If you wish you can also post images using a url from a third party image host such as PhotoBucket, Image Shack, etc.

Use the Img button and insert the URL as shown below:

To display photobucket pictures in your posts simply copy the IMG code and paste it directly into the post.
